Animals Big and Small, retitled Baby Animals in American releases, is the 13th special of Teletubbies home media releases (12th special in the US). This video is all about Animals. It was released on 17 April 2001 by BBC and Ragdoll Productions and in the US on August 28, 2001 by PBS.

Trivia
- Dipsy was the boo shouter in both versions.
- Laa-Laa was the missing Teletubby in both versions.
- The tagline is a pun on the Teletubbies opening theme.
- When the Magic Windmill spins for the Feeding Baby Penguins TV Event, a clip from Eh-Oh! (which was originally from Photo Faces, Music with Debbie version where the Normal animation replaces the Original animation) is used, which is erroneous because the Little Lamb segment did not have the Magic Windmill spinning at the end, while for the Puppies TV Event, it plays the beginning of the Magical Event tune as the Butterfly segment originally had The Animal Parade afterwards.
- This is the fourth video to have only one scene with Dave Thompson as Tinky Winky (The Butterfly segment).
- The Little Lamb and The Butterfly segments also appeared in the US versions of Herding Sheep and Music with Debbie but had different recordings on the Narrator's lines than it was here.
- Baby Animals was the last US home media release with association of Itsy Bitsy Entertainment before Ragdoll Productions ending their contract with them 2 months later.
- Because this video, along with Magical Surprises, Let's Dance!, Busy Day and Happy Weather Stories, were released before CBeebies launched, the BBC logo is still used for these videos.
- The VHS Version has the xylophone and piano tune at the end, while the DVD version does not. This also happens in Hands, Feet, and Dirty Knees.
- As the smiley face is drawn, the noisemaker sound mutes in the US & UK VHS releases, but on the US-dubbed DVD, it plays in the Canadian dub.
- The US VHS and DVD say, "A Ragdoll/BBC Production for PBS. In association with The Itsy Bitsy Entertainment co.", but the UK VHS says, "Ragdoll for BBC".
- Every segment were based on animals, except for the crawling segment.
