Bubbles is the 40th episode of the original series. It first aired on 23rd May 1997.
Plot (UK Version)[]
Tinky Winky tries to sleep, but Noo-Noo keeps trying to tidy up his blanket. The Teletubbies watch some children making bubbles. Magic things happen to Laa-Laa's ball when she throws it. It turns big and small, it changes into shapes, then it turns into the letter E and then back to normal. The Windmill spins for the Three Ships. The Teletubbies do the Splashing Dance before Tubby Bye-Bye.

Plot (US Version)[]
Po decides to have a blowy day. She blows the blankets off the Teletubbies' beds, she blows their Tubby Toast away, which Noo-Noo tidies up, and she blows the Teletubbies up the slide. The Teletubbies watch some children making bubbles. Laa-Laa plays catch with the ball indoors, but it starts to bounce around the house. The other Teletubbies help Laa-Laa try and catch the ball, but Noo-Noo catches the ball first and tidies it up. The Teletubbies chase Noo-Noo until he gives Laa-Laa her ball back. The Teletubbies give Noo-Noo a Big Hug. Afterwards, the Teletubbies do The Happy Dance before Tubby Bye-Bye.

- Tinky Winky was the boo shouter. Po was the boo shouter in the US Version.
- Laa-Laa was the missing Teletubby in the UK version. Tinky Winky was the missing Teletubby in the US version.
- The US Version of Bubbles aired on April 14, 1998.
- Although the alphabet wasn't a curriculum taught in Teletubbies, a lowercase E was shown.
- The US Version of this episode has The Happy Dance instead of The Splashing Dance, and The Three Ships was cut out from it.
- It's the first episode to include the full version of the Home Hill 3 opening shot, which its short version was introduced in the episode The Beach.
- This is the last episode to have Season 1 in the UK airing.
- This is the last episode where the Teletubbies are silent during the Splashing Dance. The Splashing Dance also ends once the Teletubbies all jump in the puddle for the 2nd time. Instead of them jumping out of the puddle and posing, they cheer as they play in the puddle and then it cuts to the voice trumpet for Teletubby Bye-Bye.
- When the Windmill spins for the Bubbles TV Receiver in the US Version, the Windmill is heard at the beginning of the Magical Event tune.
Goofs[]
- In the opening segment, when Noo-Noo goes close to Tinky Winky, Dipsy's blanket is on his bed, but when Noo-Noo tries to tidy up Tinky Winky's blanket, Dipsy's blanket is on the floor.
