Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode that has no new footage, this also occurs in Paddling Pool and The Pier. The opening segment is basically just footage taken from Ned's Bicycle and Yellow Cow, mixed and bashed together. As well, the zoomed out version of the normal window animation replaces the zoomed in version of the normal window animation
  • When the narrator asks "Who's going to eat the extra piece?," the Teletubbies start shouting their names as they raise their hands, instead of doing it silently.
  • When the Teletubbies shout "Naughty Noo-Noo!", their voices were re-dubbed.
  • This is the first Lion and Bear episode that has The Splashing Dance. The other episode is Paddling Pool.
  • The Teletubbies run away in slow motion for some reason before the Magic Windmill stops spinning, this also occurs in Sophie - Art Circus.
  • This is the only episode where the Original animation of the Magic Windmill appears in an episode featuring The Lion and Bear.
  • From this episode onwards to Paddling by the Sea, the Teletubbies giggle during The Splashing Dance.
  • When the Magical event windmill animation is shown, the Magical Event theme plays over the scary music. This also occurs in Long Horns.
  • The US Version of this episode has The Magic House (top right window sketch) instead of the Lion and Bear (original sketch). This is due to the Lion and Bear sketch being banned in America by PBS Kids.
  • Tinky Winky was the boo shouter in both versions.
  • Laa-Laa is picked for the TV Event.
  • Po was the missing Teletubby in both versions.
  • This is the first episode where the opening shot plays a music in a low key (D major) after the TV Receiver Event. This also occurs in Irish Dancing, Ice Cream Sundae, Monkeys, Paddling by the Sea and Let's Dance!.
  • In the opening shot (Right Path 1) that precedes The Splashing Dance, for some unknown reason, as the camera zooms towards the Tubbytronic Superdome, the image fades into a sepia-like filter, turning back to normal as it cuts to the dance. This also occurs in Paddling Pool.
  • The US version of Dirty Dog aired on July 23, 1999.
