  • She is the daughter in law of The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood (father of Cotton's husband Jesse Wood).
  • Cotton is a friend of fellow TV presenter Holly Willoughby, with whom she has co-presented several shows, Cotton and Sarah Cawood acted as two of the bridesmaids at Willoughby's wedding to Dan Baldwin on 4 August 2007.
  • In Cotton's Teletubbies interview, When she adopted her cat Tallulah from an animal sanctuary, Tallulah's name was Tinky Winky, but since Cotton was working in kids' TV, She thought to herself 'This cannot stick around,' So Cotton changed Tallulah's name from Tinky Winky to Tallulah, and Cotton said in the interview, 'It might be time to call her Tinky Winky again and reverse the name process, if she doesn't mind'.
  • Cotton attended the Teletubbies World Premiere (2015) at BFI Southbank along with fellow Teletubbies cast members Jess Smith, Berry, Jeremiah Krage (as Tinky Winky), Nick Chee Ping Kellington (as Dipsy), Rebecca Hyland (as Laa-Laa), Rachelle Beinart (as Po), and Victoria Jane (as Noo-Noo) along with other celebrities such as Jennifer Saunders, Grace Woodward and others.
  • In 2009, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, alongside Ben Shephard, Gary Barlow, Alesha Dixon, Ronan Keating, Denise Van Outen and Chris Moyles, and Girls Aloud members Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh. Cotton and others collapsed from altitude sickness during the five-day climb. She was in the first group (with Van Outen, Shephard and Cole) to reach the summit and helped raise £3.3m.
  • Cotton is the great-grandniece of the well-known entertainer and band leader Billy Cotton, Cotton is also the second cousin of former BBC executive Sir Bill Cotton CBE.
