The Magic Tree

The Teletubbies surprise the viewers as they pop up from a hill, saying "Boo!". Then, the Magic Windmill starts spinning, so the Teletubbies watch Matthew, James and Mark making hay on their farm. They load the hay bales on a trailer attached to a tractor after they made hay bales and the tractor takes them to a barn. Afterwards, The Magic Windmill spins again and The Magic Tree appears in Teletubbyland. It's Time for Tubby Toast and Noo-Noo tidies up Tinky Winky's Bag, Dipsy's Hat and Laa-Laa's Ball and then they chase him around the House, but they can't catch him, so Po uses her cleverness to chase Noo-Noo on her Scooter. Then, Noo-Noo gives back their favourite things. The "Tubby Bye-Bye" sequence takes place just as The Baby Sun sets.

Featuring: Matthew, James & Mark Carnie

Trivia []

  • This episode marks the first appearance of Matthew, James and Mark's dad.
  • When the Windmill spins for the Magic Tree, the beginning harp music plays while the Windmill is shown spinning. Then it cuts straight to the Teletubbies arriving outside the house to watch the tree grow.
  • This is the first episode to have a Magical Event happen instantly after the TV Event.
  • This isn't the only episode that opens with the Teletubbies popping up from the hill. Naughty Sausage and Hide and Seek also have this segment.
  • Po was the boo shouter.
  • Laa-Laa is picked for the TV Event.
  • Laa-Laa was the missing Teletubby.
  • The opening shot from Making Flowers "Field 3" is used in this episode, although, it is reversed in this episode.
  • After The Teletubbies surprise the viewers as they pop up from a hill, saying "Boo!", it shows a different version variant of the Start/Stop Spinning clip where it spins slowly with sparkles, this clip is also shown in Sophie - Art Circus (after The Lion and Bear ends) and Stop and Go (opening segment).

Goofs[]

  • When the windmill starts spinning after the Teletubbies pop up, the sparkles appear, then they disappear when the Teletubbies say "Uh-Oh!", then reappear, meaning that they didn't add the sparkles onto the windmill while filming.
  • When Tinky Winky, Dipsy, and Laa-Laa say "Fast on her scooter", their mouths don't move.
