My Dad's a Tram Driver is the 18th episode from Series 5 of Teletubbies and the show's 148th episode overall.

Plot[]

The Teletubbies listen to a voice trumpet recite a nursery rhyme called "Hark, Hark! The Dogs Do Bark", then they watch Becky go for a ride on a tram. Po rides her scooter too fast and keeps knocking the other Teletubbies over. But then she crashes into a tree and falls over. Then have get some fun doing The Twisty Dance before Tubby Bye-Bye.

Trivia[]

  • The voice trumpet in the opening were voiced by Andrew Davenport(the shows co-creator), Mark Heenehan, Nikky Smedley, Pui Fan Lee (the actors who played Tinky Winky, Laa-Laa and Po, respectively)
  • The Voice Trumpet segment was reused in Colours - Green.
  • Po was the boo shouter.
  • Tinky Winky is picked for the TV Event.
  • Dipsy was the missing Teletubby.
  • At the beginning of The Twisty Dance, the scene where Po is inside and then running outside the house was cut. It directly cuts to Dipsy and Laa-Laa watching Tinky Winky dancing, and the voices were rerecorded.
  • The tram system shown in the kids segment is the Sheffield Supertram. The trains seen are the Siemens-Duewang Supertrams in their original pre-privatisation livery.
  • The first part of the video segment was filmed at the tram stop near Sheffield Cathedral. The last part of the video segment was filmed at the Donetsk Way tram stop in Hackenthorpe, England. Rebecca "Becky" Singer's father, who appears in the video segment, was a tram driver during the production of the video segment in this episode.
  • During The Twisty Dance, the Teletubbies sound different.
  • At the end of The Twisty Dance, Tinky Winky cheers all by himself. This happens again in Getting Up in the Morning.
