Nick Kellington (born 11 June 1975) is a British actor and musician. He is the actor who played Dipsy in the 2015 Teletubbies reboot.
His television acting career began in 2007, when he portrayed Igglepiggle in the CBeebies show In the Night Garden (also by Ragdoll Productions).
Kellington took over the role of Dipsy when the reboot series began in 2015. He is the 2nd actor to play Dipsy after the original series performer John Simmit. While John Simmit's performance of Dipsy was very hyperactive, especially when dancing, Nick Kellington's performance is a mix of both calm and energetic. Kellington even gave Dipsy some unique signature moves where he jumps and lands on his bottom, and he also shakes his head very fast. Kellington's voice for Dipsy is more similar to the original than any of the other reboot actors. However while John Simmit's original voice for Dipsy was slightly rough, Kellington's voice is softer.
His other acting credits include:
- ZingZillas as Tang (suit performer only) (2010) (CBeebies)
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi as Snook Uccorfay (2017)
- Neanderthals : Meet Your Ancestors as Ned the Neanderthal (2018).
- The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance as skekMal/The Hunter (suit performer) (2019) (Netflix)
Guest appearances (most as Dipsy):
- Strictly Come Dancing (2015) (BBC One and BBC Two)
- Good Morning Britain (2015) (ITV)
- Lorraine (2017) (ITV)
- BBC Breakfast (2017) (as himself) (BBC One and BBC News)
