Philip Louis Mathews is an American basketball coach who appeared with his son Jordan, in the episode, Basketball. Mathews was the head coach of the University of San Francisco Dons men's basketball team from 1995 to 2004. Prior to this, he was the assistant coach of teams such as Ventura Community College, UC Irvine, Santa Ana Valley High School, and Cal State Fullerton. After his tenure with the University of San Francisco, Mathews coached at UCLA and the University of Nebraska. Since 2013, he is the coach at Riverside Community College in Riverside, California.
