Stop and Go is the 35th episode from Series 3 of Teletubbies and the show's 95th episode overall.

Plot[]

UK Version[]

The Teletubbies play a "Round and Round" game with a Voice Trumpet, then the Magic Windmill spins from the Start Spinning animation and the Teletubbies watch some children playing "Stop and Go". The Teletubbies giggle and they play a "Ready, Steady, Go" game by running, jumping, crawling and walking backwards. But while they walk backwards, they bump into each other and fall over. Then they play the "Ready, Steady, Go" game anyway they want to.

US Version[]

The Teletubbies play a Round and Round game with a Voice Trumpet, then the Magic Windmill spins from the Start Spinning animation and the Teletubbies watch some children playing Stop and Go. The Teletubbies are giggling and they play a Ready Steady Go game by running, jumping, crawling and walking backwards. But while they walk backwards, they bump into each other and fall over. Then they play the Ready Steady Go game anyway they want to. Afterwards, the Teletubbies make The Twisty Dance before Tubby Bye-Bye.

Trivia[]

  • There is rare stock footage used at the beginning of The Round and Round game segment.
  • The audio from the voice trumpet saying 'round and round' in the opening segment is reused from Naughty Snake (from the main segment).
  • This episode has a slow version of The Start Spinning animation after the opening segment ends, this Windmill clip is also shown in Haymaking when the Teletubbies surprise the viewers as they pop up from a hill, saying "Boo!" and Sophie - Art Circus after The Lion and Bear ends.
  • The US Version has The Twisty Dance, meanwhile the UK Version has no dance.
  • The US American Version of Stop and Go aired on September 17, 1999.
  • Po was the boo shouter in both versions.
  • Dipsy was the missing Teletubby in the UK version. Tinky Winky was the missing teletubby in the US version.
  • This is the first episode about opposites.
