The Stretching Dance is one of the dances that the Teletubbies do.

Plot[]

The Teletubbies are all standing behind some hills. One by one, they stretch their arms and legs out posing like a star. Then, one by one, they get down on their knees, walk forward and stretch their arms up high. Then, all together, they walk backward, spin around, sidestep to the left and right, bend down and stretch up high. Then, all walk in a circle, stretching their legs and have a Big Hug.

Then, they walk down the hills, all the way down to the front of the house. They proceed to do the same dance again and have a Big Hug. Then, they leave the house and walk up to some more hills and do the same dance one more time. Then, they have a Big Hug and the dance ends.

Teletubbies Stretching Dance

Trivia[]

  • This is one of the 3 dances to feature the Teletubbies' mid 1998-early 1999 costumes. The other two are The Swinging Dance and The Dizzy Dance.
  • When the Teletubbies pose at the beginning of the dance, the music is in G major, then when the dance properly begins it changes to A major. Then when the Teletubbies make their ways to the hills to dance one more time, the music changes to B major, but then changes back to A major when they dance again.
  • In the shortened version, the Teletubbies only do the dance once at the hills where the dance usually ends.
  • In Pebbles, Ladybird, and the US Versions of Bagels, and Snails (Korea), after the dance, the Magic Windmill stops spinning for Tubby Bye-Bye.
  • In Making Bread and Asian Storyteller, after the dance, the Magic Windmill spins for the magical event.
  • In the US Version of Flamenco Dancing, after the dance is over, the Magic Windmill spins for the TV Event.
  • In Running and the US Version of Lanterns (Taiwan), after the dance, the Baby Sun giggles for Tubby Bye-Bye.
