The Very Proud Crown is the 16th episode from Series 7 of Teletubbies and the show's 206th episode overall.

Plot[]

Tinky Winky comes down the slide and Po comes in through the doors. Then they say "Eh-oh!" to each other. After that, a voice trumpet rises and plays some music. Tinky Winky and Po dance around the inside of Home Hill until the Magic Windmill spins. The Teletubbies watch Tamzin Griffin tell a story of a naughty proud crown. Laa-Laa invites Dipsy to go for a walk over the hills before Tubby Bye-Bye.

Trivia[]

  • The last two segments were featured in the VHS Big Hug!
  • This is one out of two Funny Lady episodes that doesn't have "Naughty" in the title, the other being Sparkly Spider.
  • This episode was the only episode of Funny Lady that was shown in the US, it appears in the US Version of Big Hug!
  • When the Voice Trumpet rises for an encore, it faces the camera.
  • From this episode onwards to Sparkly Spider, the children in the Funny Lady TV Events are now The Children of Ravenor Infants School, Greenford instead of The Children of Chater Infants School, Watford, and when the children are saying Hello, Funny Lady is shown covering her face while the children say Hello off-screen.
  • Both of the Dutch versions of the Very Proud Crown video feature a different TV transmission. The Dutch version of the episode which wasn’t the home video features a different lady telling a similar story of a crown. The Dutch version of Big Hug! features a different Dutch video about some kids making a paper crown with a lady, the TV event in that Dutch version of the home video also reuses music from Making Lanterns.
